How Long Does a Roof Replacement Take? A Realistic Timeline
Workers constructing a house roof with scaffolding

One of the first questions we get is simple: how long will my roof take? For most San Antonio homes the answer is one to two days - but the full experience is worth understanding so there are no surprises.

Before the crew arrives

After you accept the estimate, we order materials and schedule around the weather. This usually takes a few days to a week. We pull any required permits and confirm the color and product with you so nothing is left to guesswork.

Tear-off and installation day

On install day the crew arrives early, protects your landscaping and windows, and tears off the old roof down to the decking. We inspect the wood, replace anything rotted, then install new underlayment, drip edge, shingles, flashing, and ventilation. Most single-family homes are completed in a single day.

Cleanup and final inspection

A proper crew leaves your property cleaner than they found it - magnetic sweep for nails, debris hauled away, gutters cleared. We do a final walkthrough with you and register your manufacturer warranty. That is it.

Weather, roof size, and complexity can extend the timeline, but we always give you a firm schedule up front and keep you updated at every step.
